Lemon and Olives Greek Taverna in Baguio

February 18, 2018

Upon unloading from the car, I was in awe with how beautiful, warm and cozy the place is. It was adorned with all white walls and pink and blue accent colors to give out that greek vibe, and has a lot of wood fixtures that gives out that Baguio charm we all love. Since it’s located at hill side, you’ll get this gorgeous view of Baguio’s greenery.

When we were dining, there were all kinds of people dining as well, there were professionals having sort of a business meeting, a couple on a date, a family having a nice meal, and a group of friends catching up over greek cuisine, and rightfully so, as this place is one of the most welcoming ambiance that can cater to anyone. It’s quiet and unassuming which is perfect for those who are looking for a nice place to talk, it has a gorgeous view for the romantics, and a on point pinterest-y decor that allures the younger crowd.

While I did like the decor inside, I would much suggest that you dine al fresco to maximize your experience

Lemon and Olives basically serves Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. I’ve tasted a lot of greek food before but it was quite a forgettable experience for me, but Lemon and Olives made me REMEMBER (lol can I be any more dramatic) I just love everything we ordered, the meat was juicy and tender, the pita was just right, and the Mousaka is to die for, it’s my favorite amongst all of it.

Moussaka (230php)

Structured layers of potato, eggplant and ground beef, topped with lots of bechamel sauce

Souvlaki Plate (240-320php)
Experience the taste of Greek street food! Souvlaki is a plate of specially seasoned grilled meat drizzled with Chef Takis' secret Greek sauce, served with pita bread and fries on the side and accompanied with garlic, chili and tzatziki dips

Greek Salad (160-270php)
Greek salad doesn't get any more authentic than at Lemon & Olives. A fresh bed of lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, cucumber, and onions drizzled with all the Greek trappings of feta cheese, imported olive oil, Greek olives

I forgot the name of this soup, I know, bad journalism right, but I remember not seeing it on the menu, and asked the waitress if they have any greek soup, I think this one is called Fasolada, Which is a greek style white bean soup.

Their drinks are just as good too, They have a variety of wine for everyone who loves fine dining, and for the casual diners they have the most delish house blend Ice tea and lemonade.

Another plus, why I love this restaurant is because they are also pet friendly.

Its mixture of greek and baguio sensibilities and the delicious food makes me want to come back again and again. So make sure you visit them on your next trip to Baguio.
