Macao Imperial Tea Opens Their Philippines Branch

June 12, 2017

Macao Imperial Tea, a Macau-based milk tea franchise with over 200 branches in Macau, Vietnam, China, and United States, opened their Philippine branch yesterday, at 780, Banawe St. QC.

Macao Imperial Tea specializes in fruit infused bubble tea and as one of the fastest-growing cafe chains that’s proudly Macau, Macao Imperial Tea highlights a mix of the beautiful, vibrant rich Macanese culture and a personalized experience to us filipinos
With the branch manager and staff

We were lucky to be one of the first people to try their drinks in said branch, as we came during opening day and were greeted by the branch manager who was very helpful and hospitable. At their opening they had a promo of buy 1 take one for their Chestnut Cream and Cream Cheese drinks. Anyway here’s our review….

Macao Imperial Tea offers a variety and diverse choice of drinks which are perfect for any type of craving or the current weather we are having, They have Tea, Milk Tea, Chestnut Cream, Cream Cheese, Red Bean, Yakult, Special Soda and Refreshments, Coffee, and Mpresso (Macanese Expresso) So here’s what we ordered…

Chestnut Cream Osmathus Oolong Tea (105php)

The tea alone is good, very earthy and has a mellow flavor, mixed with the chestnut cream, which had real chestnut I might add, creates that ultimate flavor that is truly unique.

Cream Cheese Oreo Milk Tea (120php)

This one is sweet and delicious, I would recomend this to those who are not a huge fan of teas as the tea is subtly infused

Cranberry Tea (120php)

Tea flavored with tangy cranberries. It has that clean, bright flavor although I must say it needs more of that cranberry sweetness

For Me (195php)

This one’s my favorite, at first I didn’t like it at all, it tastes rather bland however, much to my surprise, when I used a straw, I finally discovered what the whole craze is about, there’s actual strawberries bellow the tumbler which when drank tastes amazing.

Over the Rainbow Soda (165php)

This one’s definitely unique, I can’t even describe how refreshing this drink is.

Macao Imperial Tea is known not only for their refreshing beverages but also their cute original tumblers like the photo above.

Coming to their opening day we were definitely wowed by their interior and aesthetics It’s stylish, vibrant and very lively. It’s got that brooklyn vibe with Macanese sensibilities. The walls are bare with brick accents, the fixtures are perfectly placed and matched with the whole interior.

The place is perfectly lit which makes it perfect for group studies or simply to catch up with friends you haven’t seen in a while.

This is Simon the Bear we like him better than our Simon, He's quiet, complains less and huggable hahahaha JK

Also the seating, We can never deny the fact that the perfect combination of native and modern furniture and accessories can effectively create a more sophisticated and cool interiors.

There’s nothing to complain with regards to the staff, all of them are very approachable and helpful specially if you’re newbie to the franchise.

The service is quick, there was a long line when we came in and the cashier got through all of us in an efficient manner.

I would recommend this to everyone who’s tired of drinking the same old milk tea, as Macao Imperial Milk Tea definitely has a unique taste which I believe is truly Macau. That being said we’re giving them a 4/5 We definitely had a lot of fun with the conversations we had while staying there, and the drinks that went with it all thanks to Macao Imperial Tea.
